Do you use lowercase URLs?

When creating URLs, stick to lowercase letters. Some servers and search engines treat URLs as case-sensitive, so uppercase and lowercase URLs are not interchangeable

Why uppercase in URLs is a bad idea

• Case sensitivity - Many servers (e.g., Linux) treat /About and /about as different URLs. Uppercases can cause duplicates or broken links
• SEO risks - Search engines like Google may treat them as separate pages, splitting ranking signals
• User confusion - People don’t remember casing, so mixed case makes URLs harder to share and type
• Inconsistency - Mixed casing looks messy and harder to scan
